Saturday March 14th: ‘Easy, Peasy, Gulfy Breezy
Meetup at 9:30 am at the Visitor’s Center at Gulf Islands National Seashore Park in Gulf Breeze, Florida. (1801 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL) The Visitor’s Center is located on the right hand/south side of Hwy 98 heading south out of Pensacola but heading east before you cross the bridge to Pensacola Beach. There will be no toll to cross the bridge but be sure to park in the right hand/south side parking lot of the National Seashore and not the left hand parking lot. If you get there early or want to stay later, there is a 1-mile nature hike boardwalk to enjoy. We will ride around Gulf Breeze lightly-traveled neighborhood roads near the Santa Rosa Sound waterway for views with a total mostly-flat, gentle hill 30-mile trek; one short stretch of less than two blocks will be along Hwy 98 with a very wide safe shoulder. We will be stopping near the end of the ride at the Tiger Point clubhouse for lunch and drinks (why, yes, they do serve alcoholic beverages). Option to stop at Marble Slab Creamery for ice cream in Gulf Breeze after the ride…..or at the World of Beer in downtown Pensacola — pick your poison.”
