Planning Ahead – A Ride to Consider

Mark your calendar if you are interested in this scenic ride!  There are options for an overnight trip of 80 total miles or a Saturday or Sunday day ride of 30 miles.  All rides include a stop for lunch!

September 22nd and/or 23rd: Longleaf Trace Trail is mostly shady, generally flat and totally a blast and a half. Come for the weekend or come for the day – you choose. On Sept 22nd, the long ride shall start at Hattiesburg trailhead, stop for lunch along the way and end up in Prentiss for an overnight stay in a local motel (40-mile ride total). On Sept 23rd, ride shall return to Hattiesburg trailhead stopping for lunch along the way (another 40-mile day back to start for an 80-mile weekend).  Or for the shorter ride, come up for one day (Saturday or Sunday) starting in Hattiesburg trailhead riding partway up the trail, sharing lunch midway midday with longer ride folks and turnaround heading back to Hattiesburg trailhead (approx. 30-mile total ride one day) maybe catching a post-ride beer in local brewpubs before homeward bound. More details to follow but mark your calendars. “
