Fun Times in New Orleans and the Tammany Trace!

Many thanks to Rosalie Stromme for planning a fabulous culinary trip to New Orleans Bywater area. Shrimp & Grits, Muffuletta & Praline Bacon at St Roch Market, RB Po’Boys from Frady’s One Stop Food Store, BBQ at The Joint, Gumbo and Oysters on the Half Shell at Jack Dempseys, Pralline Beignets and Pralines at Lorettas Pralines. Enjoyed riding by Emeril Lagasse’s Culinary Arts Center too. We enjoyed the opportunity to work it all off on the beautiful Tammany Trace Trail on Sunday with a fun stop at the Abita Mystery House. We leap frogged with Cindy and Milly all the way back to Mandeville. Hope y’all had a great lunch and tour in Covington. Thanks for ordering up the beautiful weather too!

Thanks again Rosalie Stromme!

New Orleans Trip Update

Update information re March 3-4 New Orleans Trip:

“Laissez le Bon Temps ROULER”

Deadline for signing up for this trip has passed so we have 22 riders joining in. Saturday’s “Eat the Big Easy” bike tour will be broken up into smaller groups for safety and meal serving purposes. Bring your $84/pp (or $89 if you are renting one of their cruisers) on Saturday to pay our guides directly. I am not collecting any money beforehand. It’s the honor system, folks; that’s what we bikers do, right?

Entire itinerary including meet-up point directions, start times, ride distances, Sunday breweries, and other weekend activities will be sent via a private email to each of you next Saturday 2/24.

If you need to cancel out of Saturday’s Ride Tour due to unforeseen circumstances, please let me know so that I can let the bike tour company know so that they can let the restaurants we are visiting know.
