Below is a list of planned (and unplanned) rides.  TBD (to-be-determined) rides will be detailed closer to the ride date.  Details on out-of-town rides will follow as well.  All rides are “meet-up rides” with no ride leaders.  All rides dependent on weather.   Please join us when you can.  Ride with care and have fun!

March 4 Tammany Trace RideSaturday, March 4, 2017

The 31-mile rail trail runs along the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. We will meet up at 10:00 AM at the Covington Trailhead at the corner of New Hampshire and East Lockwood Streets in Covington. This is approximately 2 1/2 hours from Fairhope. We will meander 13 miles through Abita Springs to Mandeville where we’ll have lunch. We’ll return back to Covington making it 26 miles round trip.

More ambitious riders may opt to continue on through Lacombe to Slidell (another 19.5 miles) before returning to Covington (62 miles round trip).

Others may decide to spend the night in the area and ride the 2nd part of the trail on Sunday.

12-Mar Mullet Point to Grand Hotel: This meet-up ride begins at 4:00 pm.(Daylight Savings Time Begins Today). from the Mullet Point Park. This route rides north along the Eastern Shore Trail to the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, loops by the Confederate Rest Cemetery, then back to Mullet Point Park, which is 5 miles south of Grand Hotel, just of scenic Hwy 98, on County Road 1. 11 miles roundtrip. Very flat and suitable for riders of all abilities.

  1. This is fantastic to have this ahead of time. I am getting my calendar out so I can plan on participating in more rides this year.
