Ride starts at McSharry’s in downtown Fairhope (2 blocks north of the library on Bancroft St.) We’ll ride around the downtown area and through the “fruit and nut” neighborhood. Some hills. There is usually live music at McSherry’s on Sunday evenings, so feel free to hang out for some extended socializing.|
|20-Oct||2:00 – Mobilians on Bikes Community Gardens Ride. Begins at Cream and Sugar Cafe, 351-B George Street, Mobile. Slow, easy 5 mile route that stops at various area garden projects. Arrive early to find parking and to enjoy a quick treat at Cream and Sugar. More details on the Mobilians on Bikes Facebook page.|
|27-Oct||3:00 – Magnolia Springs Ride
Directions: From Magnolia Springs Shell station on U.S. 98 drive south 2.9 miles on CR 49 and turn right on CR 26, West. Drive 2.4 miles to the Vernant Baptist Church (down a driveway on the right)- parking at the church, but not by their front door, as they will be having services that evening. We’ll ride to take glimpses of the Magnolia River, Weeks Bay at Bay Shore estates, and Mobile Bay at Sunset Shore estates. Riders have an option to return to the car after 8 miles, or go on a second loop to Sunset Shore for a total of 14 miles. Long gradual slopes. We are riding on country roads, not bike paths. Bring water and blinky lights.

Sunday, Nov 3rd at 3:00 – Fairhope Pier to Grand Hotel (End of Daylight Savings Time)Begins at the Fairhope Pier, in the parking area south of the rose garden. Riding south along the Eastern Shore Trail to the Grand Hotel in Point Clear. Some side trips. Slow and scenic. Picnic social in the park at the end of the ride. Bring your own refreshments to share.|

|17-Nov||2:00 – Pelican Point to Mullet Point. Meet at the Pelican Point boat launch at the end of County Road 1. Riding along the road to Mullet Point Park and back. Very flat. 10 miles round-trip. Kayaking afterwards (weather permitting).|
Saturday Grayton Beach Ride (Florida)
Saturday ride will begin at 10:00 a.m. (CHANGED from original time). from the Starbucks and Another Broken Egg parking area in Grayton Beach. Feel free to arrive early and enjoy breakfast at either location, but know that it’s a busy place in the morning. We will be riding east toward Rosemary Beach for lunch – 10 miles along sidewalks and multi-use paths beside Hwy 30-A. This is a VERY bicycle-friendly area.
If you’d like to join us, feel free to come for the day, or stay for the weekend. Some Slow Bicyclists have already made lodging reservations at Grayton Beach State Park, where there are cabins and camp sites. There are many other lodging alternatives in the area including condos and hotels. See the official tourism website for this area for other ideas and activities.
