Florida Trip

  Saturday Grayton Beach Ride (Florida)

Saturday ride will begin at 10:00 a.m. (CHANGED from original time). from the Starbucks and Another Broken Egg parking area in Grayton Beach.  Feel free to arrive early and enjoy breakfast at either location, but know that it’s a busy place in the morning.   We will be riding east toward Rosemary Beach for lunch – 10 miles along sidewalks and multi-use paths beside Hwy 30-A.  This is a VERY bicycle-friendly area.

  • We are expecting 20 or more riders, so feel free to ride in small groups for safety and ease of movement and lunching.  We’ll encourage all to ride at their own pace, with a designated sweeper in the back.
  • We’ll make Sunday plans (biking or boating or both!) – when we’re together in Florida.
  • Additional information and maps of the bicycling paths and trails can be found HERE.

If you’d like to join us, feel free to come for the day, or stay for the weekend.  Some Slow Bicyclists have already made lodging reservations at Grayton Beach State Park, where there are cabins and camp sites.   There are many other lodging alternatives in the area including condos and hotels.  See the official tourism website for this area for other ideas and activities.

Feel free to leave comments on this page, or email us at SlowBicycleSocietyES@gmail.com if you have other questions.
