April 22nd (Sunday) – Earth Day Ride @ 3:00: Meet on top of the pier bluff near the Marrietta Johnson Statue in Fairhope. Because of the Earth Day Event, parking will be a premium down by the pier, so park where you can and meet us at the top of the hill. Ride will be from the Bluff south along the Eastern Shore Trail to the Grand Hotel, then back. 8 miles roundtrip. Upon returning to Fairhope, we will gather for a FREE concert
(5:30 p.m.) by Grayson Capps and the Lost Cause Minstrels. UPDATE: The Earth Day Mobile Bay website has updated its entertainment page which now shows a concert by El Cantador from 5-7 p.m. (See band’s website and listen to music sample HERE.) We’ll still stay to enjoy the music. Bring a folding chair, blanket, and/or PICNIC supplies if you like. There is other entertainment earlier in the day, see Earth Day Mobile Bay website for more details. http://www.earthdaymobilebay.org/
Also, on Friday, April 20th, we’ll do our evening ride around Fairhope. We will meet at the Fairhopers Community Park (across from the old K-1 Center School). Ride begins at 5:30 p.m. and lasts about 40 minutes. This is a very slow, casual ride through the downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods. Join us if you can!
